Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity - World Health Organization 1948
A balanced lifestyle is like a bank account – you can't keep drawing out and not putting anything back because eventually you will go into overdraft. Maintaining a healthy balance in life means addressing the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of life.
It is not sufficient to simply take a pill and expect it to heal your body. The healing process must involve a change of whatever dietary indiscretions are occurring as well as attention given to life style changes that may be called for to reduce stress and address emotional issues. This combined with the appropriate health supplements can bring about positive results. Far too much attention is placed on illness and not enough on wellness. We need to strive to create an environment within our body that disease cannot thrive in. Just like the condition of the soil determines whether a seed will grow so the condition of our body determines whether a virus will thrive or die. Remember that we were created to be healthy and it is definitely not natural to be ill.
Throughout history our food has been our medicine. Today’s average diet includes far too much processed foods, a high proportion of chemical additives, alcohol, carbonated (bubbly) drinks and tobacco. The types of food we eat as well as the quality of food we eat are vital to our health. The most common problem I have come across is that people are often quite unaware of what good nutrition really is. Malnutrition is not only present in 3 rd world countries but is often apparent in people who are overweight. Overeating “empty” or nutritionally deficient foods starves the body of nutrients and causes the body to permanently feel hungry.
